Gazooma Copper Zone Extends To Depth

East West Resource Corp. and 50-per-cent joint venture partner Eyeconomy Holdings PLC's Gazooma copper zone which was originally exposed by trenching, and later tested by diamond drill holes GAZ-06-1, 2, 4 and GAZ-07-5, has been intersected by holes GAZ-07-08 and GAZ-07-10 at greater depth. Both holes intersected 2.88 and 9.85 metres (respectively) of stringer chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite similar to that seen in hole GAZ-07-5. The near surface extension of the copper zone was also intersected by GAZ-07-11 which collared in mineralization and returned 21.3 metres of stringer chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. The core has been processed and submitted for analysis, results are pending.

Holes GAZ-07-11, GAZ-07-5, GAZ-07-08 and GAZ-07-10 make up a cross-section of holes that progressively trace the Gazooma copper zone to depth. As previously reported (June 6, 2007), assaying of core from hole GAZ-07-05 produced an intercept of 4.47 per cent copper, 86.59 grams per tonne silver and 0.692 g/t gold over 6.7 metres.

The likelihood that the Gazooma copper zone extends beyond the current drilling has been confirmed by both a deep IP (induced polarization) anomaly which coincides with a new VTEM (helicopter borne electromagnetic survey) anomaly. This suggests a more massive (conductive) sulphide zone occurs down dip. Deeper drilling is planned to intersect the zone 100 metres below surface.

In addition to intersecting the Gazooma copper zone, holes GAZ-07-08 and 10 also intersected a second zone of stringer chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite and a broad (greater than 50-metre core length) zone of disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. This second zone of stringer mineralization is coincident with a second parallel IP anomaly that extends from the Teck Cominco claims. Two parallel IP anomalies extend 600 metres from Gazooma to Teck Hill where the original discovery was made by prospectors in 1954.

This drilling program was followed up with "Mise a la Masse" surveys (downhole electromagnetic survey) which confirmed the continuation of sulphide zones and will guide further drilling.

The VTEM survey detected 14 additional conductors on the property that were not previously known and prospecting of these new target areas is under way. Most of the new targets are expected to be drill tested this winter.

The project set out above is being supervised by R. Middleton, PEng, who is the qualified person and responsible for quality control of the assaying and reporting. More details are available at the company's website.
